Summary
The wider introduction of modern IT in all spheres of public life, and especially in modern teaching and learning has lead to the growing recognition of Computer-Assisted Language Learning (CALL) as an innovative method for improving the quality of foreign-languages learning. The indexes of improved quality of teaching and education by applying the Computer-Assisted Language Learning method include increased productiveness and efficiency of the learning process, as well as better accessibility and convenience, alongside higher motivation of students and tutors and overall institutional efficiency.
In this paper, we have tried to present some key theoretical concepts regarding the efficiency of innovative methods in foreign languages teaching, as well as potential for their deployment in academic practice. The paper also summarises the findings of the research we conducted with the project The Effect of Innovative Information and Computer Technologies on Foreign Languages Teaching at Tsenov Academy of Economics in a pursuit of improving further the foreign-languages teaching process at the Academy by adding more value to the educational product.
