Summary
This study has a theoretical and practical character. Theoretical problems are considered in direct connection with the operation of the educational system, informational provision of educational research and selection of appropriate indicators to effectively measurement of educational achievement. It is performed a comparative analysis of the scope, curriculum content and evaluated competence of the educational and examination programs for the state matriculation exams and application programs in higher education. Applied aspects include constructing the socio-demographic profile of the candidate student in the D. Tsenov Academy of Economics, segmentation of candidate students according to their preferences and performing series of hypotheses which test differences in sexual, territorial and other nature. It is applied a methodology of measurement the educational attainment of basic education to ensure quality higher education. It is also approbated various models to estimate relationship between the degree of preparation in the basic education and results of candidate student exam.
