Summary
The quantitative and qualitative resources restraints create competition between business organizations. To be able to succeed in this competition the enterprises must incessantly enhance their competitiveness. One of the means for achievement higher and sustainable competitiveness is the modernization. In the presented research a main emphases is done on the problems of modernization and firm competitiveness of the cement production plants. On the basis of developed by our teem methodology we explore and measure the influence of the modernization on the competitiveness of the selected enterprises. As a result we have outlined some problems, formulated are conclusions and ideas (recommendations), which can be used for the cement production plants in their choice and realization of concrete competitive strategies.
