In the modern highly competitive environment the implementation of innovative teaching and assessment methods has become one of the key competitive advantages of the educational institutions. This fact necessitates a research on the compatibility of web-based and conventional assessment methods and forms. The paper summarizes the results of a research which aimed to investigate the degree of compatibility of the conventional (“paper-based”) and web-based (“digital”) didactic tests and to formulate recommendations for the practical implementation of the innovative testing formats.
