All processes and trends, that concern the different aspects of the new economy, the structural changes and the relations between them, are targets of the research work. The most important fields of that structural reform were sketched on the basis of the received findings.To occur obvious and positive change in the main macroeconomic indicators, towards their increase, in order to reach the European standards, the government bodies must focus their efforts exactly on these fields. As a result of the carried out investigations, combining study of a significant volume of specialized literature, analysis of broad size statistics information and conduct of empirical inquiry, it was confirmed that our a priori scientific thesis that structural economic changes are major approach to realize the post-industrial society as exhausted their potential for prosperity of the population and does not meet its very high standard in every respect: the environment, labor conditions, incomes, education, health, culture, etc.

The rural tourism makes an important and increasing contribution to economic growth of Bulgaria. It also represents one of the best opportunities to create income and employment for rural areas in our country with various stages of development. The growth of tourism, however, cannot be taken for granted. The present paper deals with economic subjects, working in the sector of rural tourism in the region “Central Stara Planina”, which innovation activity is influenced by the occurring dynamic market and product changes. The paper studies the conditions and factors, determining the innovation activity of defined economic subjects. The main aim of this research is to view and interpret basic theoretical-methodological formulations of the essence of innovations and in this context to offer indices, assessing the innovation activity of tourism enterprises, which, checked empirically in a certain degree, can help the choice of suitable management solutions. Therefore the fragment approbation of this indices are assumed as suitable for assessing the innovation activity of the economic subjects working in the studied sector. Important conclusions are drawn from the received research results. Dynamics of innovation in the rural tourism brings new ideas, services and products to the marketplace. Encompassing the whole tourism value chain, innovation does not only mean adapting the tourism industry to the changing tourism patterns with new marketing strategies, but also fostering new and innovative services, products and processes. Innovation in tourism is to be seen as a permanent and dynamic process. Today, the economics of tourism allows suppliers to deal more effectively with the increasing complexity and diversity of consumer requirements.

Studying the managerial, financial and socio-economic problems of the formation and development of healthcare workforce is necessary for diagnosticating the state of the system and working out mechanisms for solving them. The serious unsolved problems facing Bulgarian healthcare can be solved through working out scientifically grounded methods adequate to the modern requirements for managing resource potential, in compliance with the national priorities of Bulgaria’s Health Strategy. One of the main priorities in the sphere of managing healthcare workforce is creating models of indicators which are to interact with one another like balanced systems of indicators. These models will feed the information entrance of the management system. They can help improve the National Health Card and other normative documents in this sphere.

The foundation of new economics and the creation of favourable conditions for its further development is a serious challenge to any state. The successful adaptation to the contemporary model of economic development is invariably related to human capital development. The formation of adequate human capital in Bulgaria is a tough and continu¬ous process. An important role in this process is of the companies, which not only use, but also must actively participate in the process of the acquisition and further development of the knowledge and skills of the personnel. The present paper presents the results from research project “The Role of the Business in Improving the Quality of the Human capital in Bulgaria”, focusing on the examination of the current condition of the human capital in the Bulgarian companies, the opportunities for personnel development at company level, the comprehension and the attitude of the employers in this respect, the difficulties and the possible solutions to the problem.

The product “rural tourism” includes the creation of packets of services, systems for reservations and monitoring, pointed to certain groups. The formation and development of the rural tourism market in Bulgaria requires the unification of objects offering rural tourism in united network of brands guaranteeing quality of the tourist services. This is possible by bringing in universal standards for servicing tourists and establishing of a system for categorization of the tourist places in mountains and villages. The creation of specific tourist product in Bulgaria will provide: improving of the economical and social conditions in village areas, diversity of the economical activities in the agricultural sector, providing higher life standard and improving the skills and knowledge of workers, limiting the abandonment of villages in the country caused by unemployment.

Unfortunately, regardless of the rich palette of methods for customer preferences analysis in the scientific literature, there is yet a lack of mature methodology for longitudinal analysis of discrete choice data. In this research we present and approbate an adequate methodology for longitudinal analysis of stated choice data and tracking in customer preferences structure, which is realized by combined application of methods for discrete choice analysis and methods for econometric analysis of panel data.
